You are purchasing what appears to be an NOS OEM generator oil slinger for radio generators from 1937-1963 for side valve models including U and Servicar.  These did not have any packaging, based on catalog drawings and looking closer at a 58R generator we have on hand, this does appear to be the slinger that matches up dimensionally.

 Please do your own research if you are unsure.
