You are purchasing one NOS OEM foot or rocker clutch spring for 1936-1978 Harley-Davidson foot clutch-equipped models. More specifically, this spring is for 1936-1938 models only as it has the angled fixed hooks on both ends of the spring instead of a swivel arrangement.
Finish is parkerized. I believe originals were painted after parkerizing. A nice detail item to have on your pre-war big twin.
Used on the following models but considered "detail-correct" for 1936-1938 only:
- 1936 to 1947 61" & 74" OHV E, EL, F, FL Knucklehead
- 1948 to 1965 61" & 74" OHV EL, FL, FLH Handshift Panhead Hydra-Glide Duo-Glide, & Electra-Glide
- 1966 to 1978 or later 74" OHV FL, FLH Handshift Electra-Glide
- 1937 to 1948 74" & 80" flathead U, UL, UH, ULH, UA
- 1938 to 1952 45 Solo W, WL, WLD, WR, WLDR, WLA, WLC
- 1938 to 1946 G & GE Servicars
