You are purchasing one new USA Made wiring harness kit for 1942-1943 Harley-Davidson WLC models.  This is our "premium" kit.  It has correct tinned copper fold-over flag terminals as well as correct twisted and sweated open wire ends on the headlamp terminals and stop lamp switch terminals.  This also includes the correctly traced wires for the tail lamp, and includes wires for your brake lamp isolation switch.

We do sell a complete isolation switch kit with the clamps on another listing in our store.  If you don't find it here or cimarroncycleworks, just email and ask. 


Each harness is made one at a time by hand in our shop in Cimarron, New Mexico.


The following harness sub-assemblies are woven in cotton loom material, as original:  dash to fork, dash to coil/battery, dash to generator/relay.  Timer wire uses correct 1614-18 brass “banjo” type terminal at the coil end and correct “hat pin” wire retainer at the timer housing.  Wiring addresses distinct differences between 45 and big twin models including correct length wires for the brake/coil harness, battery positive, and relay.


Our research via NOS wiring samples as well as a large library of photos shot at the HD factory museum shows that solid color (non-traced) wire insulation was used predominately prior to the end of WW-II.  If you disagree and would prefer a harness with all traced wires, you may custom order one.


Wires are single traced or non-traced as original, and tail lamp wires are the correct red and black non-traced wires.  Wire colors are accurate as are the wire terminal ends.  Handlebar dimmer and horn wires have ends already tinned, you will fish the wires through the bar from the bottom.  You will find it easier without your timer cable installed.  You will have to solder the bar wires into your dimmer and horn switches.  Other than the tail lamp and fender lamp contact button terminals, this will require no more soldering.  We do happen to sell complete wire clip kits for OHV and side valve models in our store.


This harness is for the discerning restorer, please look at the photos carefully.  Copper fold over flag terminals are correct from 1939-1945.  We stock a WLA kit on another listing as well as Knucklehead, UL, and WL kits for 1939-1940 and Knucklehead and UL for 1941-1945 and WLA and WLC military kits, with XA kits being manufactured soon.  


We do sell a less-detailed kit for about $50 less and we do sell a kit complete with pre-wired switches.
