This is a 13 fin 1937 or 1938 ULH cylinder (I cannot make out the date code other than "A" and a possible "1"), bore is 3.441 so it should clean up at .030 or .040 over. No broken fins, no skirt issues, manifold or inlet pipe nipple threads are good. Only real issue was a broken exhaust valve guide which will drift out, there was no damage to the cylinder in this area. Intake seat looks very good. Exhaust seat is a bit crusty but the cylinder and head this came with exhibit no signs of corrosion so I'm assuming these are carbon deposits shown in the combustion chamber. I'm happy to run it through the blast cabinet for a serious buyer. At any rate, even if you put new seats in I think this is well worth it considering the overall physical condition.

Do note, this will fit on a VL bottom end but they changed the exhaust port location and I don't believe it will fit in a VL frame when you use UL cylinders.

I have a matching two bar, high compression UL head, no broken or chipped fins, no detonation damage, and good spark plug threads on another listing as well as valve covers, valves, springs, keepers, retainers, and head bolts on other listings.

Fits the following models:
  • 1937-1941 ULH, UH 80" flathead
We are more than happy to combine this with any other items you might be considering.
