You are purchasing a four speed transmission mounting kit used on 1936 to early-mid 1942 big twin Harleys.  As the bolt heads are all plain-head, machine-turned bolts, these are correct for a pre-war or early WWII Knucklehead or UL big twin so they might still be appropriate for early to mid 1942 models.  There is even some thought that due to lower production of big twins that H-D may have been able to supply their own bolts through WWII before turning over much of their fastener production to Chandler Products and their CP-1035 & CP-1038 stamped bolts.

The Parkerizing is perfect on these as well as the machining.  

We also now offer plain head assembly kits like fuel tank and oil tank for pre-war big twins as well as bolt groupings by part number.  We have some NOS as well as USA-made reproduction machined top bolts manufactured identical to the originals produced in H-D’s own screw shop 80 years ago.
