This spring has had several uses over the years on diverse Harley-Davidson models. It’s the box handle spring on Servicars from 1967 to 1973, it was used as a rear brake switch spring on the Sportsters for a brief period, a gas tank mount spring for at least a couple of years on the XLS models. Based on the part number, it likely appeared in 1963 originally on DC series golf cars or golf carts. As I do not have a golf car parts catalog, I cannot identify what it was used for on them. I’ve checked the Sprint M-50 M-65, and lightweight catalogs and it did not appear there.
Used on the following models:
- 1967-1973 G 45" Servicar
- 1969 XLH XLCH Sportster (rear brake spring)
- 1980 & 1981 XLS Sportster (gas tank mount spring)
International buyers: I will ship via first class in a padded envelope if you want to save on shipping, but please understand I highly recommend you spend the extra money for Postal Priority so I can ship this in a secure cardboard box.
