You are purchasing one reproduction pull type handlebar spiral for either left hand throttle control on 1949 to 1953 model big twin Panhead, 1952 K Model, 1949-52 WL and 1949-1957 Servicar or for use with aftermarket carbs. Can be used as left hand throttle or a "pull" throttle on bikes which are no longer using a stock Linkert M-series carburetor. This is for use with a Mikuni, S & S, SU, Bendix, Tillotsen, etc. that require a pull throttle.
Also used on stock production Harley-Davidson USA made single cylinder "light weight" motorcycles. I'm not sure how late these spirals were used on those, I do know at least 1957, please check your own reference material. These are used only with bars which are slotted all the way to the end for the cable plunger (as shown in the catalog page above) and also requires a grip sleeve retainer which we do sell in our store. We may put a kit together in the future with the sleeve, retainer, and plunger. Please study the catalog photo included on this ad and make sure that looks like your set up.
These cannot be used on the right bar if you are using a stock Linkert M-series carburetor. You need a "push" throttle grip sleeve which we also sell in our store. These can only be used on bars which are slotted at the ends, they will NOT work on 1948 and earlier or 1954 and later bars.
We do sell spirals and grips as kits along with cables and handlebar internals and we do sell single spirals if that is all you need.
