You are purchasing one new USA Made dash base wiring kit for 1948-1957 Harley-Davidson, Panhead, UL, Servicar and WL models. Wires are single-traced with woven cotton covering over vinyl insulation. We will include a color wiring diagram to aid you in your base restoration.
This kit includes all of your dash base wires and speedo lamp wire for the lamp sockets, these are not included in any other kits on the market. To finish your installation, you will need to be able to solder in button lamp contact terminals in your oil pressure and generator lamp sockets. You get the ignition wire, two green bulb contact wires, speedometer lamp wire as well as the two black wires which wire from one of the panel studs to the barrel terminals which extend out on the bottom of the lamp sockets. You also get three brass contact terminals. Pulling the old wires out of the barrel terminals on the lamp sockets is a somewhat delecate operation but it can be done with patience and a dental pick and some small needle nose pliers.
We stock a kit for 1947 models as well as Duo-Glide models. We are also working on trying to source quality replacement lamp sockets.
We do sell complete wiring kits for your 1948-53, 1954, and 1955-1957 models with pre-wired switches as well as base kits with wires so you can re-wire your original switches. If you can't find what you need here or cimarroncycleworks, just email and ask.
