You are purchasing one European made pull type handlebar spiral for throttle or spark control on 1954-1974 model stock production Harley-Davidson twin and USA made single cylinder "light weight" motorcycles.
Please do double check your own reference material to make certain this is the spiral you need, the detail is very good on these. These are what are called the "left hand spirals" they are for a pull style throttles which would be the stock later Bendix or Tillotsen carburetors and can be used for the spark advance as well. These would also be used on earlier Panhead models using a CV, SU, Mikuni or any other type carburetor requiring a pull type action to open the throttle rather than a push as the earlier Linkert and Schebler style carburetors with piano style wires did.
Please double check your parts book before ordering or send us an email if you are unsure if your carburetor will require a push or pull throttle spiral. OEM number for the push type is 56219-53. OEM number for the pull type is 56220-58.
