You are purchasing a USA made reproduction kit of hex head lifter base screws and star lock washers which fit late 1953 to 1975 Harley-Davidson OHV Panhead, and Shovelhead models. These are 1/4-24 thread just like the originals.
It is believed they were used as the "inside screw" for later 1953 and up according to the 1954, 1957, and 1958 parts catalogs. The only problem is, you can clearly see hex heads on all four lifter screws on 1955 and up prototype photos until the mid 1960’s.
We will be selling a kit shortly with four round head screws and four of these hex screws. If you do not see it in our store, just ask and we will get it listed.
Replaces OEM# 18660-53 and 7231 you get eight (8) of them.
If you aren't concerned about “correctness”, having hex head screws is a really good idea for your tappet guides.
We also carry Phillips cam cover screws, transmission top cover screws, generator screws, and fillister head Phillips primary cover screws. We do carry parkerized and cad plated straight slot screws for 1936-1973 lifter bases as well and the 1954 and up hex head style screws.
This is a very good quality cad plating and machining is Identical to the original H-D spec on the screws.
