You are purchasing a complete rear fender hardware mounting kit to mount the hinged rear fender to the rear struts on 1958 FL and FLH Panhead Duo-Glide models. Every prototype photo I’ve seen of the ’58 shows it had straight slot screws on the rear fender. As well, from the 1958 parts catalog page shown in my listing (an original 1958 catalog, not the ’58 to ’68 re-print) the screws were drawn as straight slot.
I have noted that the 4043 bolts in the factory prototype photo for 1958 in Bruce Palmer’s book appear to be parkerized. To my knowledge and to the knowledge of anyone else I’ve ever spoken with about this is that only cad plated bolts came out on production models on the struts which was always H-D’s custom back in the day- to fasten chrome pieces to the bike with cad fasteners.
I do also carry a kit for ’59-’62 Duo-Glide with these screws in a Philips head and a 1963-1978 Kit which deletes two of the screws for the CP-1038 countersunk hex head bolt OEM# 4018W.
Used on the following:
- 1958 74” FL & FLH Panhead Duo-Glide
Can be used on 1958-1962 Duo-Glides but H-D changed to Philips screws starting in 1959 on Panhead and Sportster rear fenders.
Includes the following parts by OEM part number:
- 2414W, screw 5/16-24 x 1 1/4” straight slot oval head countersunk (qty 6)

PLEASE NOTE: When it's practical, I will gladly combine all your purchases into one shipment for a discounted rate.
A note on shipping:
Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates. Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction. In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc. I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices. If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges. It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy. I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating. That’s the only way I can solve a problem. I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!
