You are purchasing one New Old Stock OEM (NOS/OEM) WL steering damper rod for all 1937-1939 WL & Servicar models. This was used on all 1937-1939 45 twin models to slow down the steering action on the bumpy old roads of the day. Threads are perfect, plating is either cad with patina/tarnish or parkerized. This is not pitted out, it is very suitable for the original use it was intended for. This does NOT include the locating pin, that would be easy enough to fabricate.
This will work with either OEM or reproduction parts. Early WL damper parts can be incredibly hard to find as no one ever really thought these bikes would be collectible.
