You are purchasing one pair of two (2) European reproduction 18" cadmium plated interchangeable wheel rim for 1935-1952 WL model rear wheels and front and rear interchangeable star hub wheels from 1936 to 1966 on big twin models. This is a new reproduction using high quality steel. These are stamped, punched, and formed as original, right down to the drain holes in the rim lip. This is real cadmium plating, not zicad, not zinc. Spoke holes may need to be enlarged for some aftermarket spokes, stock OEM ones and the good reproductions will require no modification. We also have OEM and reproduction wheels and hubs and sell a 19" KHW and 18" drop center rims for VL models. We have stainless, nickel, cad, and parkerized spokes and cad, black, raw, and chrome wheels available.
This is an 18" x 2.15" rim, spoke holes are .294" and the center valve stem hole is .470". Can be used with 18 x 4 or 18 x 4.5 tires. The cadmium finish is very nice and would look great on a high point restoration.
Cadmium would have been used in the 1930's. I believe I've read before it was an option in 1937 only. It's certainly a cool alternative to black or chrome rims.
We do sell reproduction wheel hubs and outer lock nuts and washers and can also buy the hub on it's own listing and the lock nut assembly on another.
