You are purchasing one European-made fuel tank shut off rod and seat valve assembly for Harley-Davidson 1940 to 1949 Knucklehead, Panhead, UL and ULH big twin OHV and flathead models. The finish on this particular kit has a parkerized knob and top seal cap with a cad lower seat. This would be considered correct for military (some military models had OD green painted caps and knobs over a parkerized finish) and civilian models produced during the WW-II era. We also stock this particular style with a chrome knob as well as a WL WLA style and 1950-1965 style in our store. We can also customize your look if you want a parkerized knob for a 1964 Panhead, no problem. Just let us know. We do stock the popular chrome accessory extension knob.
These are a really nice reproduction and are far superior to the Asian reproductions. You can spot the Asian ones as they are being sold with raw brass knobs. The knobs on all our fuel rod kits are either chrome or parkerized and the seats are cadmium plated, not zinc. These valves have a brass seat pressed into them for a better seal and longer life.
