You are purchasing an excellent European reproduction of the Daka Ware bakelite shift knob for 1931-1973 model Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. This is made just like the original of bakelite with a steel 3/8"-24 threaded insert. The only difference is, "Daka Ware" is not molded into the bottom of the knob like the originals. You have to look hard when it is mounted to realize that is not there. The only thing better is finding an NOS one and those are starting to become harder to find and also a lot more expensive.
These balls were also used in industrial applications like mills and lathes.
These were used on VL, RL, Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead, WL, UL, and Servicar models over the years. I do believe these may have been used through the end of Servicar production in 1973.
We carry nickel, chrome, black, and OD green shift levers and shift gates for your 1915-1973 H-D as well as cad plated and parkerized shift linkages and shifting mechanisms for those years including JD and VL shift towers. If you do not see them here or cimarroncycleworks, just email and ask.
