You are purchasing one set of 40 new USA reproduction cadmium plated spokes for 16" drop center rims used from 1940 to 1972 big twin and 45 solo and Servicar models using 16" drop center rims. According to my research material, these were used up through 1972 on big twins, possibly 1973 on Servicar front wheels. It appears there was a "metric" spoke with a -40B part number introduced in 1973 according to one of my later catalogs. Please double check your own reference material to make sure this is the correct spoke for you.
Note: what you see as dark spots in the photos are from tumble process plating just like the originals. These are not flaws, they are plated by the same process originals were.
You get 40 spokes and 40 nipples with this purchase, enough to lace up one wheel. This is real cadmium, not zinc, and not stainless. Please check your reference material to make certain this is what you need. The threads are "rolled" threads as original and are 6-8 gauge. However, I never recommend trying to intermingle OEM and reproduction regardless of whatever claim is made about the threads on these.
We also stock this spoke in a parkerized finish as well as for 18" front and rear wheels on DL, RL, WL, and early Servicar models and spokes for 1940 and up models with 16" drop center rims. We offer reproduction Kelsey-Hays 18" drop center wheels and star hubs, both the step type and later style hubs.
