You are buying one pair (2) USA Made reproduction straight slot generator fastening screws for 1936 to 1957 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead and Panhead OHV models, though specifically, straight slot are for 1936 to 1949 models as they started using Phillips head screws in 1950 and likely used those through 1957. These do NOT fit 45” engines or UL engines. Again, you will get two screws.
These are a special screw for those of you who have cases which have been over-drilled for 5/16" screws to install a two brush generator. These have a 5/16" shaft in the case contact area but have 1/4-24 threads which is standard for the three brush generators. We do stock these in cad on another listing in our store.
Finish on these is parkerized which would make them correct for roughly late 1942 or early 1943 into some point in 1946.
We do carry these in standard stock shank sizes as well as Phillips head and in cadmium finish as well as NOS screws for UL models and reproductions and sometimes NOS screws for WLA and Knucklehead models.
OEM part number is 1523-36 or 30011-36.
Used on the following:
- 1936-1947 EL ELA ELC FL 61" & 74" OHV Knucklehead (parkerized screws would have been used during war years)
- 1948-1957 EL, FL 61" & 74" OHV Panhead (Cadmium would be correct for 1947-1949 and Phillips used after 1949)
