You are purchasing one new reproduction "Type 2" style tail lamp This style tail lamp was used 1915-1933, with the exception of 1923 and/or 1924 when the spring coil tail lamp was used.

This lamp has the correct dished or flat red glass lens used through 1933 as well as a clear non-fluted glass "shot glass" tag outlook lens.  We've also included the tail lamp wire with correct eyelet "banjo" style terminal correctly crimped and soldered.

There may be some details an AMCA judge could pick apart, but considering the price originals go for, this is a great alternative.  The black parts are a gloss black enamel.  The last photo is one I pulled from the internet is for reference only to show installation.
