Fuel or gas tank top mounting hardware kit consisting of cadmium plated hex head screws, & spring washers for 1918 to 1936 JD, VL, Single, DL, and RL models. Bolts and spring washers are cad plated which would be correct for later VL, Single, and RL models. Nickel should have been used up through 1932 or 1934 Spring washers are formed as original and the bolts are 7/32”-32 bolts. Even though the paper washers were not produced until 1934, they are included to help protect the paint on your tanks. We do sell these with a nickel finish as well. For certain, 1937-1973 WL and Servicar did use cadmium plated bolts during their production run. WL and G models from 1937 and up use two screws each. We do have listings for those quantities in our store.
All pieces are USA made using the same process Harley used when they operated their own screw and nut equipment. Screws, nuts, and washers are produced just like the ones H-D did back in the day. I've also got other hardware kits listed in my store under "pre 1980's hardware" for JD, VL, Single, and pre-1937 45 solo and Servicar.
These are the standard thread screws. We do have the oversize 1/4-28 screws available if your fittings have been stripped.
We have oil lines, fuel lines, shift and clutch linkages, brake linkages, throttle and spark control coils, etc. for your JD, VL or early single.
We also offer many plain head, CP-1035 and CP-1038 bolts and bolt kits for later model restorations. I do have some NOS plain head hardware I’m finally getting around to listing.
