Very nice reproduction of Eaton gas caps used on various Harley models from 1955 to 1973.
This is the short profile cap introduced around 1955. The cap is vented and is the same cap used on the left or fuel tank on 1955 to 1973 Servicar and the same style used on Sportster XLCH models from 1958 to 1969, and is also the cap for the right hand tank on 1965 to 1972 Panhead and Shovelhead models.
This listing is to purchase one cap, not a pair of caps. I do have these listed as a pair in my eBay store on this listing number: 291588978003
While these will fit Panhead, Knucklehead, Servicar, & 45 solo tanks prior to 1955, these would not be the correct cap height as what came OEM from 1936 to 1954.
Also can be used on Hummer 125 & BT 165 models, though this does not have the measuring cup for your 2 stroke oil. The fourth photo shows the difference in profile height on the two later varieties of Eaton caps that Harley used. The cap on the left is the ’55 to ’64 style, the cap on the right is the ’39 to 54 style. You are purchasing ONE of the lower profile caps here.
Please double check your tanks prior to ordering, many aftermarket tank sets use the 1965 and up style bungs with different bayonet depths from the right to left. From 1936 to 1964, original H-D big twin tanks used the same cap on the right and left.
We do offer 1936 to 1954 style caps as well as 1972 and up in our store under separate listings we also have a parkerized set of these available in our store as well.
These are vented.

A note on shipping:
International shipping price includes Shipping Insurance against loss or damage.
Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates. Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction. In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc. I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices. If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges. It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy. I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating. That’s the only way I can solve a problem. I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!
Know who you are buying from! We are not a drop-ship operation, each and every part we sell is carefully inspected to assure you get the quality part described in the listing. We have a no-hassle return policy, and we stand behind the parts we sell because we know what we are selling and shipping to our customers. Before you make a purchasing decision compare our feedback vs. others.
We are aware eBay’s shipping calculator is not working correctly on combining shipping for some of our listings. If the shipping amount eBay is trying to charge you seems high, please contact us immediately or simply click “request total from seller” and we will promptly manually calculate your shipping. We always combine shipping on multiple item orders and will find the least expensive method which falls in line with how quickly you need your items. Thank you!
