You are purchasing one reproduction Eaton gas cap for 1936 to 1938 Harley Davidson twin models. This is the high quality, exacting reproduction that is the correct height, weight, and the knurling is correct, it is vented. Restoration quality. It's the same one I've seen other sellers claim as NOS. The knurls on this are the short knurls 3/16". I do have the 5/16" knurl caps for 1941 to 1964 on another listing, and if you need a pair of these caps, I've got them on listing# 290948500053 at a discount.
Please double check your tanks prior to ordering, many aftermarket tank sets use the 1965 and up style bungs with different bayonet depths from the right to left. From 1936 to 1964, original H-D big twin tanks used the same cap on the right and left as illustrated in the last photo above.
