Zinc alloy or pot metal dimpled reproduction battery tie down rod wing nuts, 5/16-18 UNC thread, used 1926 to 1964 on big twin models, also used as a "clip bolt wing nut" on 1933 and up buddy seats on all big twin and 45 solo models.  You are purchasing one pair of wingnuts in this purchase.  You will get two wing nuts and these are an un-plated zinc alloy.  We do sell these in a parkerized and cad finish on otehr listings and we do have the 1/4"-20 ones for 45 solo models and rear brake switch spring/lock clips as well.

It took years of searching to finally find these, as they are all but impossible to find now, at least in an SAE thread.

Common thinking seems to be this is the style used either from 1950 to 1964 or 1954-1964.  I personally have seen them on an original paint 1952 model, but don't recall from any 1950 or 1951 models and it's always possible an original paint bike could have had the nuts changed out at some point.  Please do your own research to make sure you are satisfied you are buying the correct part.

  • 1930 to 1936 VL models
  • 1936 to 1947 Knucklehead E, EL, F, FL, ELA, ELC
  • 1948 to 1957 Panhead Hydra-Glide EL, FL, FLH
  • 1937 to 1948 flathead U, UL, UH, ULH, ULA
  • 1958 to 1964 Panhead Duo-Glide FL, FLH
  • 1926 to 1936 J, JD, JDH, V, VL, VLD, VLH and probably other models I'm forgetting (please verify with your own reference material!)
