Fuel or gas tank mounting hardware kit for the fatbob style gas tank used from 1936 to 1975 on big twin EL, UL, FL, and even early FX. As the bolts are CP-1038, they would be "correct" from roughly 1949 to 1967 or so, but will certainly work for any '36 to '75 big twin with fat bob tanks. I believe they used cad plated hardware in the late 1950's and 1960's though which is what you are buying here. They also phased in other bolt manufacturers in the 1960's & 70's though I'm not sure when. I've got a kit with all parkerized parts on another listing in my store under pre 1980's vintage hardware.
There seems to be some misinformation on CP bolts and "reproductions". Chandler Products has always been willing to produce these bolts with large minimum quantity orders. There's either early production or current production. They changed head dies as they wore out and had multiple dies. Nuts are USA made using the same process Harley used when they operated their own screw and nut equipment with the flat lands on them. Spacers and washers are produced just like the ones H-D did back in the day. Parkerizing and cad plating is same finish as how these came from the factory in the 1950's and 1960's. I've also got other hardware kits listed in my store under "pre 1980's hardware" including a CP-1038 oil tank mounting kit which would go great with this.
