You are purchasing one European-made reproduction of the 1926-1930 Mesinger 1 leather and metal tool box originally used on 1926-1930 single models but due to the clasp system on this, you could use this box on just about any motorcycle or bicycle. Box has a single clasp and "Messinger" embossed on the cover. This will add a really cool retro touch to any motorcycle. This would make a nice extra accessory or tool kit to mount behind your seat on your DL or RL.
These are made in very small batches and in limited quantity. The last time we were able to get these, it was two years ago.
For mounting: The clips are right at 3 3/4" apart center-to-center and can fit on up to a 1" tube. The clips can be rotated 360 degrees so this gives you many options for mounting in other than a stock location on a stock bike.
