You are purchasing a USA-made primary cover screw kit consisting of a set of 10 OEM# 1211 (10-32 NF x 5/8”) primary cover screws, 10 OEM# 7021 #10 lock washers, as well as 10 derby inspection cover screws OEM #2268 (12-24 NC x 1/2”) oval head straight slot screws. These are 10-32 NF x 5/8” filister head philips drive screws used on the primary covers from 1936 to 1964. These are “correct” for 1956 to 1964 FL and FLH Panhead models which used cad plated philips drive filister head screws according to Bruce Palmer in his How To Restore Your Harley Davidson book. The illustrations in the 1960’s parts books do show a philips head screw. 1950-1955 also used the philips head screws but they were parkerized and I do have those available on another listing.
Parts catalogs show the 3/8” long 048/2265 screw used on the derby covers for big twins. You simply cannot get enough bite with the thick cork gaskets the derbys use. If you need/want some NOS 048 or 2265 screws I’ve got them in my eBay store.
These are absolute spot-on copies of the original screws and they are impossible to find. The cad plating is perfect.
Will fit any un-modified OEM and most reproduction sheetmetal or tin primaries for four speed kick start Harley big twins from 1936 to 1964:
- 1936-1947 E, F, EL, FL Knucklehead
- 1937-1948 U, UL, UH, ULH big twin side valve flathead
- 1948-1964 EL, FL, FLH Panhead but only considered to be a detail-correct item from 1955 to 1964
Please see our eBay store for many different individual pieces of hardware and hardware kits for your vintage Harley-Davidson as well as the correct primary cover screws for other year Harleys.
PLEASE NOTE: When it's practical, I will gladly combine all your purchases into one shipment for a discounted rate.

A note on shipping:
Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates. Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction. In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc. I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices. If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges. It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy. I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating. That’s the only way I can solve a problem. I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!

We are aware eBay’s shipping calculator is not working correctly on combining shipping for some of our listings. If the shipping amount eBay is trying to charge you seems high, please contact us immediately or simply click “request total from seller” and we will promptly manually calculate your shipping. We always combine shipping on multiple item orders and will find the least expensive method which falls in line with how quickly you need your items. Thank you!
