You are purchasing one European reproduction on-off switch which replaces the black out switch that mounts on the black out headlamp and replaces OEM# 4972-42.  Great match for the original switches.  This is "correct" for 1941-1945 WW-II military models using Guide black out headlamps.  Can also be used on Marschal, Yankee, and other 4 1/2" black out driving lamps.  Back when we could get the blackout lamps, we purchased many NOS switches and we can honestly say this is the best reproduction by far.  Even the box is as original.  This is very impressive as NOS switches are becoming very difficult to locate these days.
