You are purchasing one new USA Made wiring harness kit for 1939-1945 Harley-Davidson sidecars.  This is our "premium" kit.  It has correct tinned copper fold-over flag terminals as well as a correct twisted and sweated open wire end on the stop lamp switch terminals.  This harness is for tail and brake lights as well as the fender top marker lamp.  Two wires run from your tail lamp post under the seat, the other wire runs from the brake switch to the brake lamp in the sidecar fender.


Comes with the terminals that go to the bike end already soldered in place, a complete tail lamp re-wire kit which is two phenolic plates, a spring, and two lamp button type contact terminals.  Also includes a lamp contact for your fender lamp as well as a #6 terminal in case you are using a reproduction tail lamp with a screw type terminal which was used on later lamps as well.  You will need to be able to solder the lamp contacts in place to complete the job.  We highly suggest soldering over crimping them unless you have the correct star type crimper to do this.  Wires and looms are pre-cut unlike other kits.

 

Each harness is made one at a time by hand in our shop in Cimarron, New Mexico and comes with detailed installation instructions.  We do also sell a clip kit for side car wires.  We do have a tail lamp only kit on another listing if you do not have a marker lamp on top of your fender.

 

Our research via NOS wiring samples as well as a large library of photos shot at the HD factory museum shows that solid color (non-traced) wire insulation was used predominately prior to the end of WW-II.  If you disagree and would prefer a harness with all traced wires, you may custom order one.  We also sell complete premium harness kits for 1939-1945 WL, UL, and Knuckleheads in our store.
