One new reproduction fat bob style 2:1 speedometer for OHV & Servicar models with fat bob tanks from 1938-1940. Also known as the "White Face" speedometer. This will work on any Harley with a stock dash from 1936-1961 including WL, Servicar, Knucklehead, UL, Panhead. This comes with a knurled re-set knob and a speedometer cable adaptor so you can run your stock cable with the male end fitting. If you do not need the adapter and have a cable with a 5/8" female fitting on the speedometer end, just tell us and we can credit you $20 off your purchase. The speedo has a 5/8" male fitting so you can use the 1962 and up style cable with this.
This speedometer has a curved or domed glass as original. You will need a 5/8" speedometer socket and bulb for illumination.
Of course it’s reproduction, but it sure beats a Harley knock-off which has no Harley logo on your old rider or restoration until you can find or afford a perfect factory rebuild or the rare NOS one which finds it’s way to eBay every now and then.
This is a pretty accurate reproduction of the original 1948-1952 speedometer, frequently referred to as the "blue" face, head as made by Stewart-Warner back in the day. We do also offer 2:1 ratio speedos with logos for 1937-1940, 1941-1946 civilian and military, 1947, 1948-1952, 1953-1955, 1956-1961, and a 1:1 ratio speedo for 1968-1970 big twin four speed models and Servicars.
.Can be used on the following when equipped with an 11 tooth speedometer drive gear in a four speed transmission or Servicar rear end:
- 1936-1947 EL FL 61" & 74" OHV Knucklehead
- 1937-1948 U, UL, ULH, etc. 74" & 80" big twin flathead
- 1937-1952 W, WL, WLA, WLD, WLC, etc. 45" solo
- 1948-1961 EL, FL, FLH Hydra-Glide & Duo-Glide with stock transmission speedometer drive
- 1937-1961 G, GE Servicar
Fits in a 4 5/8” opening if you are planning to use this for a custom project. Otherwise this fits just like a stock Harley Fat Bob speedo in your Harley.
Takes speedometer cable with standard Harley transmission mount and 5/8” female connection at the head. The speedometer has a male connection on the back as shown.
We also have cad plated reproduction cables available in our store.
Most people won’t know it’s not an original face on an original Stewart-Warner at curb-side, but they sure know when you don’t have a speedo with a Harley logo on it. The logo is quite an accurate reproduction though I'm sure an AMCA judge would pick up minor differences from an OEM original if you were thinking about using on a judged bike.
Please double check what your transmission drive ratio is. I have no way of knowing if someone else may have changed out the gearing for the later 1:1 ratio.
Please note: this does NOT include any mounting hardware.
When it's practical, I will gladly combine all your purchases into one shipment for a discounted rate.
Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates. Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction. In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc. I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices. If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges. It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy. I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating. That’s the only way I can solve a problem. I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!
Please take a look in my eBay store for other speedometer-related items like speedometer cables and lamp kits for these speedometers in 6 and 12 volts, NOS OEM and reproduction cables and cable cores for speedometers and tachometers for many different models.
