You are purchasing one new USA Made wiring harness kit for 1931-1934 Harley-Davidson C Single Pup or Pea Shooter models. This is our "premium" kit and to the best of our knowledge no one is making these with any sort of accurate detail. This is not a simple conversion from VL or RL/DL either. It has correct soldered eyelet terminals and OEM# 1614-18 brass open-barrel eyelet terminals which are solder dipped.
These harnesses are the result of years of research and a lot of expense gathering NOS and good used OEM wiring samples. Reproducing terminals like these in great quantity is an expensive proposition. This is everything you need to wire your bike from nose to tail. You will need to make your own connections inside your headlamp.
VL and RL kits on the market do not address the unique needs of the C model single so don't make the mistake of buying one of those kits thinking you can modify it for a single. This is the correct kit for 1931-1934 500cc or 30.50" singles. Those kits also extensively use round eyelet terminals in areas where not only were they not correct in detailing, but they offer no support for the wire weight in areas like the dash which can lead to a wiring failure.
The harness is encased in asphalt loom material, wires are single traced or solid. Please email us what year your bike is and we will double check the detailing before it ships out to you. We spent a lot of time complling this kit using period parts books, collecting NOS and used samples as well as studying countless photos and even taking pics at the H-D museum to help us understand the original wiring detail.
Your handlebar dimmer and horn wires have eyelets soldered to the ends, you will fish the wires up your bar from the lower opening then solder it into your switch.
Your harness is made with care by hand at our shop in Cimarron, New Mexico USA. We use all American and Australian-sourced components to build our kits. We have spent a considerable amount to build a huge library of NOS and excellent used OEM exemplars of complete harnesses and sub assemblies to assure we are manufacturing a harness that reflects accurate details of the day your bike rolled off the assembly line. We provide our customers with comprehensive and legible wiring diagrams (most all are colorized), wire schedules, as well as technical assistance should you ever have questions during or after your installation.
Our wire dyes can vary slightly from one batch to the next, but that was the same as Harley back in the day. We also have some wires we've allowed to age and bleach out a bit which is perfect for replacing wire components on an original paint bike. Email us if you need something like that.
We take the guess work out of wiring kits and we have made many improvements over the "standard reproduction offerings" that have been around for a long time.
