You are purchasing one new USA Made timer or circuit breaker to coil wire for 1930-1939 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead, VL and UL big twin flathead models as well as DL, RL, and WL 45" models, and Servicar . This kit includes a 26" plain black wire. Top or coil terminal end has a correct 1614-18 brass open barrel terminal and the timer end has a looped, tinned, and soldered end made from the stripped primary wire to the timer post as original.
Note the comparison to the NOS timer wire. Dimensions are the same, cloth wire insulation has the same texture and color as original. Comes with the stud insulating parts as well as the nut, brass washer, and lock washer.
Based on our research, it appears H-D did this configuration on the wire through 1941, though photos we took of their 1936 EL shows a looped and tinned wire end at the coil and we do note that the 1941 parts catalog spelled out a separate part number for 1936 only. The last photo above shows this type of wire end on the 1937 UL in the H-D museum in Milwaukee. The condition of the wiring suggests the harness on that bike to be original.
This assembly also comes with the "hat pin" clip to secure your asphalt loom to the timer. Loom is 11.5" as original and the hat pin is set at 3/4" just like the original.
