You are purchasing a GM-licenced reproduction of the 4801-31 Delco-Remy 16 horn used on 1931-1936 VL, RL, and Servicar twin models, also used on 1937-1939 W, WLD and Servicar.  Horn has chrome sunburst face which was correct from 1931-1935.  Do note that this is not the 6 bolt arrangement for the face and disc, but the long bolts are laid out correctly to mount to the sides of the horn.  We do sell this same horn with the winged face for 1936-1939 VL, RL, WL models.  We also have the 1936-1941 style which mounts top and bottom on other listings for Knucklehead, UL and 1940-41 WL models.

Horn is 6 volt as original.  Located at and ships from Cimarron Cycle Works in beautiful Cimarron, New Mexico, USA!

We also stock a correct USA-made horn mount kit for this horn in our store and sell this as a combo kit with the horn and hardware together at a very significant discount and we offer the earlier Klaxon horn for early VL and late JD models in addition to great reproduction lighting including Cycle-Ray, John Brown Motolamp, and Solar.  If you don't see what you need here, or cimarroncycleworks, just email and ask.

Considered "detail correct" on the following models:
  • 1931-1935 VL, VLD, VLH 74” & 80” big twin flathead or side valve
  • 1931-1935 RL, RLD 45” Solo
  • 1931-1934 C Single

I am stocking other horn mount parts.  Please keep checking back or simply email me for a package deal on multiple items.

A note on shipping:

Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates.  Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction.  In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc.  I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices.  If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges.  It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy.  I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating.  That’s the only way I can solve a problem.  I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy!

Know who you are buying from! We are not a drop-ship operation, each and every part we sell is carefully inspected to assure you get the quality part described in the listing.  We have a no-hassle return policy, and we stand behind the parts we sell because we know what we are selling and shipping to our customers.  Before you make a purchasing decision compare our feedback vs. others.

We are aware eBay’s shipping calculator is not working correctly on combining shipping for some of our listings.  If the shipping amount eBay is trying to charge you seems high, please contact us immediately or simply click “request total from seller” and we will promptly manually calculate your shipping.  We always combine shipping on multiple item orders and will find the least expensive method which falls in line with how quickly you need your items.  Thank you!
